Temple to Build
1 Kings 6-7
Directions: download pdf below; copy (definitely on card stock, preferably 11X17 if you have some and a copier that can size it up for you); cut out and fold on the dotted lines according to the directions; color if desired (and you have time); tape together starting with tab A and going through to tab K (photos with directions included below); use a shish kebab stick to open and close the doors to see what is inside
Supplies: card stock, optional markers, scissors, tape, shish kebab sticks
Notes: this craft took a long time to design, but it turned out great and the kids will remember more details about the temple!; I was lucky enough to have 11X17 yellow cardstock available; I did all of the cutting and folding ahead of time because of the age of some of my students; it does sort of work with regular paper, but not well; it would probably work best to glue the tabs and then tape to hold it while the glue dries, but we didn't have the time for that, so I haven't tried it; try one ahead of time unless you have an older group and want to turn them loose to see if they can succeed on their own
