Father's Day Trail Mix
Directions: download pdf below; copy (colored paper or card stock is good); kids add the "to" and "from" and color whatever animal they've chosen; make trail mix (what I did is in the notes); staple or tape the tag to the top of the trail mix
Supplies: paper, crayons or markers, pint/sandwich ziplock bags, trail mix goodies, stapler
Notes: I had the ingredients for the trail mix set out, each part in its own container with its own measuring spoon/cup and a number in front of the container so that they knew what to add. I had them put in: 3 half cup scoops of pretzels, 1 big spoonful of mixed nuts, 2 big spoonfuls of peanuts, 1 quarter cup of raisins, 2 big spoonfuls of M&M's, and 1 big spoonful of butterscotch chips. You can use whatever you want, or do a salty mix (with cheese crackers, etc.) instead of a sweet mix, but that at least gives you a starting point!
