David and Goliath Paper Sling
1 Samuel 17
Directions: download pdf below; copy (colored paper is more fun); kids cut out on bold lines; tape sling together and crumple up biggest piece of remaining paper to use as a "stone"
Supplies: paper, scissors, tape, some patience
Notes:this can work, but it's a bit tricky (one of our 4 year old's got pretty good at it though!) - you hold the sling with 1 hand with 1 "strap" held firmly between 2 fingers (maybe the 3rd and 4th) and the other held a bit loosely between the thumb and pointer, swing it around (very quickly) and release the strap held by the thumb, some of the kids folded the edges of the "cradle" slightly so that the "stone" would stay in it better
